Recovery Sessions

 

Weekly online or in person sessions tailored to the client.

Weekly Zoom or in person sessions which includes; Discovering and building a new life filled with purpose and meaning without your eating disorder
. We do this by setting goals in collaboration with your treatment team.


Redefining what freedom and health looks like and means (as it can be scary) . Redefining your values, passions and worth/ confidence without your Eating Disorder 


Identifying and providing understanding around obstacles in your recovery and offering tools and support to help you overcome them   


These sessions can include both individuals and parents, and these services are also dependent on the clients treatment plan.

Exposure Work

 

Meal support around exposure to new foods on food outings at restaurants or picnics. 


Clothes shopping can be scary and it can be helpful to have someone there to support you with thoughts and emotions. 


Support around grocery shopping to help you purchase a variety of nutritional foods which are in accordance to your goals. To support you to shop without counting calories or reading/ comparing the nutritional value on packages.  

Practicing not body checking and implementation of skills while walking around in triggering places

These sessions can include both individuals and parents, and these services are also dependent on the clients treatment plan.

Meal Support

 

Phone/ Zoom/FaceTime or in person coaching for meal support.

Text support available for when you are struggling and or accountability.

Distraction practicing and support.

Support around the following areas:

  1. Exposure to new foods which may be considered fear foods.

  2. Managing emotions related to your Eating Disorder.

  3. Challenging thoughts and beliefs.

  4. Tools around Body Image.

  5. Distraction and weekend planning.

  6. Managing distress, anxiety and guilt.

Extra support can be provided to individuals and family members while they are engaged in FBT and meals can be done with the whole family.

Parent to Parent Support

 

Supporting a loved one through an Eating Disorder as a parent can feel isolating, daunting and exhausting.

Robyn, our founder Jess’ mother, has been through it with all three daughters and has seen them come out the other side of the battle.

She is one amazing mother who persevered and did not give up. She carry’s hope, empathy and wisdom for parents and talks with and supports parents all around the country.
