Hey Mama!

This course is for anyone who is wanting to become a mum, who is navigating pregnancy or has already had their little bubs! I created this course after going through pregnancy myself and talking to so many other mums who were wrestling with the societal ideas about how their body should be.

What you’ll learn

  • During the transformative journey of pregnancy and postpartum, a woman's body undergoes significant changes. This course provides a compassionate insight into navigating the feelings of body changes, societal pressures, and the barrage of often unsolicited comments.

As the course creator shares her personal experiences, from stretch marks to changing fashion choices, attendees are reminded of the marvel that is a woman's body. It's about reshaping the relationship with your body, not just for personal well-being but to set positive examples for the next generation.

  • Beliefs around body image don't exist in a isolation; they're shaped by media, societal pressures, past experiences, and even remarks by doctors or peers. In this course, attendees delve deep into the origins of these beliefs.

With a focus on self-reflection, the course challenges the participants to identify and contest harmful perceptions.

By recognizing the feelings that often lurk beneath self-judgment, like shame or embarrassment, individuals are empowered to confront and challenge detrimental thoughts, moving from a space of avoidance to one of understanding and healing.

  • A significant portion of adult women restrict their activities due to body image concerns, leading to missed opportunities and diminished experiences. This course offers actionable steps to foster a healthier relationship with one's body.

From journaling and challenging negative beliefs to practicing body neutrality and resisting comparison, attendees learn to appreciate their bodies not just for appearance but for their strength, capability, and the life they've nurtured.

The overarching theme is to nourish oneself both mentally and physically, recognizing the interconnected nature of maternal health and a baby's well-being.

Course FAQ

  • There are lots of places you can seek help from and Redefined Coaching is one of them so you can fill out a form submission and we will be in touch to help support you on your journey.

  • Thought challenging is a big one because we feel what we think. It all starts with changing our thoughts. Though checking is checking where this thought has come from and if it aligns with my values.

  • Get support ASAP this is key as you can't do it alone. Then the person supporting you will help you make a plan and reflect on what tools you can use for your recovery.

  • This looks different for everyone but I think the first thing is trying to understand, 'knowledge is power.'

They can show empathy but also keep you accountable as we all need accountability in recovery.

  • It is good to get help sooner than later even though sometimes it can feel silly since we don't class ourselves as sick enough.

If you are struggling with thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are starting to become out of your control then seek help asap.

If you are feeling low or anxious it is also good just to seek help and this doesn't mean you will need long term help sometimes one session can put us back on track.

  • Identify triggers, plan on how you can respond safely to those triggers, have people that you are accountable to and reach out for support if you need it.
